Dolores L. Rice

LAKE LEELANAU – Dolores L. Rice, 74, of Lake Leelanau passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Tendercare of Leelanau.

  Dolores was born Oct. 26, 1938 in Dearborn the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Blosingham) Martin.  On June 25, 1959 at St. Kevin’s Church in Inkster she married Anthony Rice who preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1990.

  Dolores had a life time of accomplishments; but most important of all was the love for her family.

  Dolores is survived by her three children, Gregory (Ann) Rice, Gwendlyn Rice, Katrina Rice; her siblings, Harold Martin, Dennis Martin, Joe Ziets; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Kaula, LeeAnne, Katelyn, Justin; and a great granddaughter, Aubrey.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Geoffrey Todd, and a sister, Jean Henry.

  A rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.  Private family burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery of Lake Leelanau will be held at a later date.  Father Michael Janowski will officiate.
