PESHAWBESTOWN
– Jesse John James, Jr., 67, of Peshawbestown, passed away Wednesday, August 6,
2014 at Munson Medical Center.
Jesse was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Kalkaska,
to the late Jesse and Mildred (Thomas) James.
Jesse was a member of the Grand Traverse Band
of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. He
served in the U.S. Army.
Jesse was a very private person. The most important people in his life were
his family. He was a caring and loving
person when it came to animals. He
always saw to the feeding of wild birds and stray cats.
Jesse is survived by his sister, Linda K.
(Wally) Snellenberger; nieces,
nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
sisters, Mary Kay James and Sara Thomas; and his brother, Lyle James.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August
14, from 12 noon to the start of the 2 p.m. service at the Martinson Funeral Home
of Suttons Bay. Pastor Tom John will
officiate.
