    Ma Shalda!
Thank you for braiding my hair at horse shows! And letting me hide behind the horse trailer to smoke “weeds” (cigarettes)!
Thank you for calling out “hi honey” from your balcony when I came over to visit!
Thank you for being a sparkly light in my life!
It is hard to accept that you are gone. Your warm smile, generous hospitality, and love for God’s creatures are some of the many memories twirling around in my mind.
I love you and will dearly miss you, but I am at peace knowing you are with Dale and Peggy and all of your critters, laughing, loving, and free.

    Phil & Rosemarie

A Parable of Immortality by Henry Van Dyke

" I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is a object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, " There she goes!"

"Gone where? Gone from my sight.....that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me not in her. And just at that moment when someone says,"There she goes" there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout,"Here she comes"

    Faith and hope.

Grandma Hois! That's what Collin called you when he was young because he couldn't say his L's. He wouldn't have had any clothes the first year of his life if it weren't for you and your love for yard sales. Whenever I left your house I couldn't leave empty handed. Whether it was a half loaf of bread, a candle or a knick knack, you made sure you gave me something. Your heart has always been full of love and giving of yourself. I will miss your unique personality. I love you and will miss you dearly Grandma Hois!

  6. Lois, you have fought the good fight, finished the course, kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give you...
You are a shining example of love for all who God created. Thank you for loving us.
