MI, passed away peacefully at Tendercare of Leelanau in Suttons Bay, MI, on July
24, 2015.
She was born on March 31, 1922 in Davenport, OK, the daughter of Ernest

Jeanette graduated from Florence High School.
On September 4, 1948 she married Willard D. Crowgey. They raised their
family in Iron River, MI, where they were happily married for 54 years. In
their later years, they enjoyed traveling, spending their winters in California

While most of her time was spent as a homemaker and caring for her family, she
also taught Bishop Sewing through the Community Schools. In her spare time, she
loved baking, knitting, and sewing for others. In her later years she enjoyed
playing cards, and was an avid reader.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Agnes (Larry) Searcy of Carrollton,
KY, Bill (Mary) Crowgey of Northport, MI, John (Martha) Crowgey, of E. Lansing,
MI, Lorraine (Jeff) Harrington, of Reese, MI; daughter-in-law, Betty Crowgey

blessing of her long life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ernestine Beasley;
her husband; and son, Edward Crowgey, a veteran of the Vietnam
War.
Jeanette’s immediate family will hold a celebration of her life at a
later date.
