I met David many years ago when I was performing in a band at the casino. When they announced my name, he came up and introduced himself. I crossed paths with him several times, usually at the Cherry Festival Pow Wow, and we always had a good laugh together and he was always so kind and enjoyable to spend time with. I had hoped to get to know him better. He will be missed by many. I was born and raised in Traverse City, so I call myself a "Native." My father, Donald Fox served in the same unit during WWII, 101st Airborne as a paratrooper and was a decorated veteran. He passed in 1978 from lingering injuries from the war. David will fly high as an eagle now!
