David and family – It was with tremendous sadness that I learned of Eben’s passing. His was an exemplary life well lived. Eben was a remarkable man, well versed on so many topics and skilled in so many arts, wise, creative, compassionate and kind. Your parents were my parents’ dearest friends and I have many cherished memories of time spent with “Eben and Eunie” during my Northport visits. My children do, too – Eben taught them about constellations in the Northport sky. I am so sorry for your loss. Karen Rubner Grotberg, Evanston, IL
