Died June 15, 2017
LAKE LEELANAU – Floryan Kiwak, 91,
of Lake Leelanau went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Plano,
Texas.
Floryan was born Dec. 2, 1925 in
Edwardsville, Pennsylvania the son of John and Mary (Zuba) Kiwak. On Sep. 4, 1948 in Dearborn he married his
loving wife of sixty years, Virginia Helen (Kojawski) Kiwak who preceded him in

As a young man Floryan served
during WWII in the U.S. Army. During his
life he enjoyed spending time outside with his flowers, swinging on his swing,
fishing, and boating. His greatest joy
was retiring with Virginia to Lake Leelanau which he felt was the most
beautiful place on earth. Floryan joined
the American Legion Eagletown Post 120 in Peshawbestown, and truly enjoyed
being the historian for a few years and going to the schools to talk about the
flag along with representing his post as a flag bearer when a fellow veteran
died. Floryan loved being with family,
friends, and especially the little ones – spending the past two years playing
with his great-grandson.
Floryan is survived by his
daughter, Carol (John) Kibitlewski; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter;
and great-grandson.
He was preceded in by his wife,
Virginia; his parents; and a son, Ronald.
