CEDAR – Eleanor “Ele” Catherine Brzezinski, 83, of Cedar, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 at Maple Valley Nursing Home.

Ele was born Jan. 28, 1934 in Centerville Township the daughter of Andrew and Lillian (Winowiecki) Brzezinski.

Ele worked as a nurse for over 40 years in Grand Rapids and Lansing.  After retiring, she gave many years to the church doing God’s work.  Always caring and interested in her family’s well-being, she was dearly loved by all her sisters and brothers and over 30 nieces and nephews and she loved each of them as if they were her own.  Although God has taken the very best from us, we know Ele is happy to see her Mom and Dad again.

Ele is survived by her siblings, Jan F. Clements, Nancy (Jim) Zywicki, Daniel (Magdaline) Brzezinski, Linda (Tom Walter), Germaine Brzezinski, Marcianne (Eric) Andrews, Joseph (Carol) Brzezinski, David (Monica) Brzezinski; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Andy, Gary, Larry, Norma, Mary Beth; and her infant sisters, Sylvia, and Ann Marie.

Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, Rosary to be prayed at 10 a.m., funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Cedar.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Fr. Donald Libby will serve as celebrant.
