Lisa J. Brown
Died Dec. 6, 2018
LAKE LEELANAU –
Lisa Joy Brown, 56, of Lake Leelanau passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec.
6, 2018 as her family held her hand.
Lisa was born
on April 10, 1962 to Beulah and Floyd Fowler of Byron Center, MI.
Lisa was an
elder with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She loved her family and was a wonderful
mother who loved her children; Krystal and Ryan whole heartedly.
She was always
available to lend an ear, or to give a good hug. Lisa looked forward to special time spent
with each of her kids; whether it be rock-hunting or snuggling in cozy blankets
watching a movie, to showing great interest in RC and off-roading adventures.
Lisa supported
her kids in everything they did, with a love and passion like no other.
She enjoyed
taking her grandchildren to the library, going to the beach, gardening; and
just teaching her grandchildren to find joy in everything they do.
Lisa was a
great woman and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege to
know her. She has touched the lives of
many.
Lisa is
survived by her son, Ryan (Susanna) Brown, her daughter, Krystal Brown; her
brothers, John Fowler and Bill Fowler; her grandchildren, Jordan, Hailey and
Kyler Brown, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Becky.
A celebration
of Lisa’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 in the ballroom of the
Hotel Indigo Traverse City, 263 West Grandview Parkway, Traverse City.
Memorials may
be directed to the Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire and Rescue, PO Box 280, Suttons
Bay, MI, 49682.
