LAKE LEELANAU – Thomas Dean Ball, 81, of Lake Leelanau, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was born June 2, 1937 in Pontiac the son of Dean and Naomi (Kempton) Ball.  In June 1960 in Commerce Township he married Kaye Eleanor (Smithson) Ball who preceded him in death on June 29, 2017.

He was Mr. Fix-It on his property.  Tom loved anything with a motor in it in his youth, even working on race cars.  He worked for over thirty years with Oakland County Road Commission retiring as a supervisor.

Tom is survived by a daughter-in-law, Karen Ball; a son-in-law, Al Tester; and a brother-in-law, David (Carol) Smithson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye; his parents; and two children, Brian Ball and Martha Tester.

Private family services have been held.
