NORTHPORT – Thomas Anthony Botz, 64, of Northport, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Munson Hospice House.

Tom was born June 11, 1954 in Trenton, to Dr. Robert and Mattie Botz; he was the oldest of four siblings.  

Tom was a graduate of Northport Schools, Northwestern Michigan College, and Central Michigan University.  He had his own home remodeling business.  Most recently he worked for the Village of Northport for many years in the DPW and was a certified water technician.  Tom had many, many, good friends in the Northport area and enjoyed their visits while he was in hospice.

Tom is survived by his siblings, Dr. Patrick (Jodi) Botz, Mary (Tim) Shannon, and Nancy Botz; nephews Jason, Nicholas and Matthew Botz; nieces Sarah Blight and Elizabeth Lovelace; his uncle Bill Brendel; his cousins Tim, Tony, and Chris Brendel; as well as many great nieces and nephews.  His dog Bailey also misses him. 

The family would like to thank his many friends who helped make his final days easier as well as thanks for the excellent care he received at Munson Medical Center and Munson Hospice House. Tom will be missed by us all. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, at Trinity Church United Church of Christ in Northport.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Friends and family are invited.
