SUTTONS BAY– Bertha May Oscar, 90, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Medilodge of Leelanau.
Bertha was born on May 21, 1929, in Omena, the daughter of Daniel and Regina (Kalchik) Lemaster. On April 2, 1949, in Traverse City, she married Allen “Andy” Oscar who preceded her in death on March 11, 2011.
Bertha is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn (Thomas) Herman, Shirley (Lew Whims) Oscar, Janis (Ronnie) Carr; five grandchildren, Shanna Carr, Andrew and Jessey Hudson, Tom and Sara Herman; brothers, John, Jim, Tom, and Dan Lemaster; sisters, Irene Woehl, Rose Badgley and Esther Walter.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Allen Oscar; an infant brother; an infant sister; and sister, Ethel Probst.
Graveside services at the Lutheran Cemetery will be held in the spring.
