PESHAWBESTOWN - Wanda Sue Raphael, 63, of Peshawbestown, passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.

Wanda was born Feb. 3, 1954 in Florida, the daughter of Carl and Julia (Mashka) Raphael.

Wanda was a special women, she had a big heart for her family and for all her nieces and nephews, as to taking care of them as they grew up.  She was always willing to help others. Wanda was always taking family pictures at family gatherings making sure everyone got in.  She enjoyed being with family every chance she could.  Wanda was full of life, smiling, and laughing.  She made everyone happy around her with her smile.  Wanda was an incredible giving, helpful, loving, caring, and kind person that's what is define her as daughter, sister, mother, auntie, cousin and friend.  Wanda will be missed by children and all her brothers and sister and nieces and nephews.

Wanda is survived by her son Joseph Raphael, daughter, Elaine Raphael; her siblings, Mary Hawley, Clayton Raphael, Debra Raphael, Paul (best best best friend in the whole world, her sister in law, Tanya Sue) Raphael, Robbin Raphael; a grandson, Joseph Lee, a granddaughter, Kalea and many loving extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Peggy Rocha, two brothers, Carl and Duane Raphael.

Visitation will be held starting today at Wanda’s home in Peshawbestown.  A wake service will be held at the home at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30.  The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug 31 at Kateri Tekakwitha Church of Peshawbestown.  Burial will follow in Kateri Tekakwitha Cemetery.  After the burial, a feast will be held at Kateri Tekakwitha Church.
