Renee L. Two Crow-Gilbride
Died Sept. 2, 2017
TRAVERSE CITY - Renee
Lanora Two Crow-Gilbride, 67, of Traverse City, passed away Saturday, Sep. 2,
2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Renee was born
Aug. 5, 1950 in Minto, North Dakota, the daughter of Mason Lewis Two Crow and
Loretta (Blake) Two Crow.
Renee was born in
Minto then moved to Chicago with her mother, father, brothers, and sisters in
1956. She moved to Northport in 1980 and
met the love of her life in 1988. On
Jan. 8, 2005 in Peshawbestown she married Thomas Edward “Gil” Gilbride. Renee would state she and Gil had
“twenty-nine glorious years.”
She worked for the
Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians for many years and then took
a position with the CHAPS program in Traverse City and finally volunteering her
time with the Father Fred Foundation.
Renee loved people
and people loved her. She was “Mama
Renee” to many and welcomed them into her home when they needed. She loved watching sports, her favorite was
basketball and football – “Go Pack Go”!
When any game wasn’t going how she wanted Renee would say “Come on
Man.” She loved to go to the casinos
here and all over during road trips, stopping at each casino only for a short
time.
She loved to sit
and watch her tv shows, with her favorite being ID channel. Renee loved her home and was proud of it. Renee is now with her family and friends; she
is laughing with the lady friends she lost and hugging those she cried to
see. Renee is looking down and saying
like she said us on Friday the day before she passed, “Don’t Cry, don’t worry,
I am not scared.”
Renee is survived
by her husband, Thomas “Gil”, her children, Shawn Jones, Gerald Teller, Monica
Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Brandon Gilbride; her siblings, Gerald (Darlene) Fox,
Minah Fox, Karmen (Liz) TwoCrow, Mason TwoCrow, Corey (Joyce) TwoCrow, Dennis
(Liz) TwoCrow; her loving grandchildren, McKenzie and Kaden, Drake and Emily,
Jada, Dennis, Brooke, Bella Renee, Echo, Ava, Alex, Jerdan; her great
granddaughter, Tippy Toe Teller; and many nieces and nephews she loved so much.
