Louise B. Cradduck

LEELANAU – Louise B. Cradduck, 90, a long-time resident of Lake Leelanau passed
away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at Tendercare of Leelanau; where she resided for
the past 2½ years, surrounded by her loving family.
Louise was born Oct. 10, 1924 in Claremore,
Oklahoma, to William Albert and Edna Mae (Williams) Roberts. On Oct. 4, 1941 in Caruthersville, Missouri,
she married Huston Cradduck. They moved
to Leelanau County in 1954 where they raised their three children: Charles,
Mary Sue and Herb Cradduck.
Together they ran the family farm. Later she worked at Grand Traverse Overall,
Leelanau Fruit and Frigid Foods. Along
with tending her many flower and vegetable gardens, Louise enjoyed quilting,
crocheting and playing bingo.
Louise is survived by her three children,
Charles (Dianna) Cradduck, Mary Sue (Richard) Johnson, Herb (Rita) Cradduck; a
sister, Rosie (Charlie) Elliott of Bald Knob, Arkansas; eight grandchildren,
Trisha (Chris) Suski, Lori (Paul) Stendel, Christopher (Ann) Cradduck, Melissa
(Mark) Steckley, Joni (Tim) Ballitch, Aaron Cradduck, Kevin Cradduck and Ellen
(Jared) Copeny; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah and Mya Suski, Preston
Stendel, Charlie and Anna Cradduck, Caleb Ballitch, and Hendrick Steckley born
Nov. 25, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Huston in 1998 and a son, Lyndon in 1945; her siblings, Floyd, Bill,
Troy, Rasho and Ethel; and great grandson, Seth Ballitch.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3
from 10 a.m. to the start of the 12 noon funeral service at the Martinson
Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. Burial will
follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Leland. Rev. Kent Anderson will officiate.
