SUTTONS
BAY – Margaret Josephine Stallman, 93, of Suttons Bay, passed away Thursday,
Dec. 11, 2014 at Tendercare of Leelanau.
Margaret was born Oct. 15, 1921 in Suttons
Bay the daughter of Gordon and Selma (Carlson) Swanson. On Aug. 25, 1941 at the Holy Rosary Church of
Isadore she married Eugene Gabriel Stallman who preceded her in death on March
3, 2007.
One of Margaret’s delights was that all of
her children stayed in the area so she was able to share in her children and
grandchildren’s daily lives. Margaret
was a very gentle person and so full of love for her family and she always had
a never ending smile.
She loved doing her crafts and drinking
coffee with her friends and she especially loved the summers when her friends
and family would come north and many of them stayed all summer, which she
loved.
Margaret was a homemaker most of her life and
helped Eugene on their cherry farm.
Margaret had a beautiful heart and her door was always open to anyone
who needed help.
Margaret is survived by her children, Barbara
Jean (Claude) Kovarik of Suttons Bay, Ralph Gabriel Stallman of Suttons Bay,
Ruth Ann (Tom) Sleder of East Leland, Gerald Lee (Judith) Stallman 0f Bingham
Township; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
sisters Anna, Eva, Martha, Ellen and her brothers, Herbert, Bunda and John.
Services will be announced in the spring.
