Deanna I. Galla

Died January 9, 2015

TRAVERSE CITY – Deanna Irene Galla, 74, of Traverse City, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at her home.

  Deanna was born Nov. 13, 1940, in Traverse City, the daughter of Victor and Elizabeth (Wilson) Wolcott.  In 1986 in Traverse City she married George Galla who preceded her in death in Sept. 1995.

  Deanna was a fabulous baker and candy maker and she truly loved cooking for her family and friends.  She adored her cats and her birds.

  Deanna is survived by her daughter, Sidonia Stern; sisters, Sara Baynton and Genieva King; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

  In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by a son, Victor “Tuff” Eshleman in 1997.

  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Deanna’s memory be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society, 1750 Ahlberg Rd., Traverse City, MI 49686.
