GILLS PIER –
Christina Korson, 98, of Gills Pier, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at
Tendercare of Leelanau.
Christina was born on May 10, 1917 in Gills
Pier, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Kalchik) Korson.
Christina was a lifelong member of St.
Wenceslaus Church and member of the Altar Society.
Christina is survived by a brother, Wilfred (Joan)
Korson; sister-in-law, Louise Korson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers,
Charles, Frank, and Richard; and sisters, Mary Schaub and Margaret Schaub.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1
from 6 to 8 p.m. with the rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. at the Martinson
Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 2 at 11 a.m. at St.
Wenceslaus Church, Gills Pier. Burial
will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Father Elias Chinzara will serve as celebrant.
