TRAVERSE CITY –
Patricia Irene Petroskey, 68, of Traverse City passed away Friday, May 20, 2016
at TenderCare of Traverse City with her loving family at her side.
Pat was born April 10, 1948 in Seattle, WA
the daughter of James and Florence (Foster) Dishman. On March 20, 1987 in Traverse City she
married Ken Petroskey who preceded her in death in 1994.
Pat and Ken made many trips to Seney in the
Upper Peninsula where they enjoyed the company of friends, music and Ken’s
guitar playing. Pat loved traveling to
Florida with her sister-in-law, Judy Petroskey, and walking on the
beaches. Pat also enjoyed traveling to
Idaho and Washington to visit family and friends as well as spending time with
her best friend, Theresa Steinebach.
The greatest joy in her life were her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
They affectionately called her “G Pat”.
She always had a full candy dish and popsicles ready for her little
ones.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Toby
(Martin) Fite; her mother, Florence; two sisters, Judy (Robert) Smyth and Wendy
(Larry) Wheeler; two nephews, Ron and Ryan Peters; four grandchildren, Amber,
Courtney, Kyle, Michael; four great-grandchildren, Lily, Kaiden, Elijiah, and Grace;
and many loving members of the Petroskey family.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Ken; and her father, James.
Visitation will be held at 10 AM on Thursday,
May 26 until the 12:30 PM Celebration of Life at the Martinson Funeral Home of
Suttons Bay. A procession to St. Mary’s
Cemetery in Lake Leelanau for burial will follow the Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed
to Resident Activities Fund, c/o TenderCare Traverse City, 2585 LaFranier Rd,
Traverse City, MI 49686.
