Bonnie J. Quick
1948 ~ 2020
GLEN ARBOR – Bonnie Jean Quick, 71, of Glen Arbor passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Munson Medical Center.
Bonnie
was born on June 7, 1948 in Grand Rapids.
She attended Congress Elementary and was a proud graduate of Grand
Rapids Central HS Class of 1966.
Bonnie
lived in Illinois and Iowa and returned to the Grand Rapids area before moving
to beautiful Glen Arbor and marrying Richard E. Quick in August of 1983. In 1988 she was elected as Glen Arbor
Township Clerk and served until 2019.
One of Bonnie’s favorite aspect of her job was meeting all the people in
the area. She was also a member and
former president of the Glen Arbor Women’s Club and thoroughly enjoyed being
the Grand Marshal for Glen Arbor’s 2018 Fourth of July Parade.
Bonnie
is survived by her husband, Richard E. Quick; her son, Joshua James Humphrey;
and dear grandsons Joshua James Humphrey Jr. and Jaxon Humphrey; sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Mac) Fortner and Judy Dawson; several nieces
and nephews; step grandchildren, and many friends.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Jean Eggebeen.
A Celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at a later date.

She has been an integral part of the Glen Arbor/Leelanau County community for many years, and her dedicated service is deeply appreciated. She was an incredible wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She could always be counted upon to bring a positive and compassionate attitude to any situation with which she was confronted. She brought sunshine to others, and she will be missed by many.
